Steering and Speedo Problems 200 1990

Hey all,

I have 2 problems if anyone can help.

1- Had a shop replace my tierod ends and do an alignment. Now the car sometimes resists turns and lane changes and I have to manually return the wheel to center after turning. Some days this is no problem at all (oddly it's better on cold or wet days). Also, have a clunk in the front end in tight parking lot turns.

The shop said they could not get the steering wheel perfectly straight during the alignment, they thought the rear end may be slightly bent. This is all a little odd since I didn't have the steering problem before and if the rear end were bent I would have tire wear and the car would probably dog track. Neither is the case. This shop (import specialty)is giving me a bad feeling.

2- I installed the large tach and small clock but now my speedo works intermittently and the odometer quit working altogether. Again, the speedo works well when its cold out. Also, the dash lights are out on the right side. Everything else works fine. I probably screwed something up.

Thanks for the help!

Joe
