My 1987 240 DL Runs poorly on cold starts 200 1987

I have a 1987 240 Dl and after sitting for a while, on pretty much every cold start, it runs very rough and will not accelerate properly. The problem goes away after driving it for about a half mile to a mile. It runs fine after that. I have taken it in about 4 times and had several things done including replacing the mass air meter. I have also installed a new Fuel filter. Any Ideas on what is causing this problem?
