Cold starting problems 900

For the past few winters my 91 940 GLE had a very tought time starting in very cold weather (I then started putting it in the garage nights, but that may not be an option this year).

Usually after a cold NH night, it would start in the morning, but after driving it up the driveway, or even after sitting for a moment it would stall. When trying to restart it, it would labor trying to turn over. Eventually it would start, but would idle very low, just above the stall level, and only after sitting like that for a minute or more would it run OK. Sometimes I had to keep the gas pedal to the floor to keep it running. I had replaced the battery, plugs, cap & rotor, no change. After sitting outside all day at work, it would start OK, but I would have the same problem the next morning. Any advice on what to do or look at?

Thanks
