Check Engine Light 200 1989

Hello, I read a 2/3/1 code, no CEL then a 2/2/1 with the CEL, I have replaced any suspect vacuum hoses and used propane to check for vacuum leaks, I can't find any. Fuel pressure and volume is good, however acceleration is a bit slow below 60 kph, and I can just just hear a slight pinging, preignition I assume,
is it possible that the MAS is not sending the correct signal? it checks out fine with the procedures in the Bentley manual.
