Anyone try adjustable voltage regulator? 700

I see that Dave Barton sells adjustable voltage regulators that go on the back of the alternator. Has anyone tried one of these? I do notice my voltage goes down when turning the lights on, especially with the fogs on. Is it a worthwhile mod?
