Ambient temp. install difficulty 900

Hi. I posted this question a few days ago. Wondering if anyone has any advice:

I've been thinking of installing the optional ambient temp. guage on my '93 945, since it's a useful gadget come wintertime, and apparently Borton still has them in stock.

Question is - is the installation difficult? I know that the car is pre-wired - I've seen the connector under the air dam all ready to go. But do I have to remove the instrument cluster or do anything drastic to get it in there? I'm wondering if instructions are included, or if it's an intuitive job. I'm not sure if it will be worth paying the $$$ if I can't do it right.

Has anyone installed one of these recently who can give advice? Thanks very much.

-Ben
