My trans has two threaded holes with no bolts in them - got a question 200

The other day when I was under the car I noticed that there were two threaded bolt holes with no bolts in them. There is a funnel shaped part and the two holes are on the sides and out toward the edge of the fat side of the funnel-shaped-thingy, the trans side, not the Universal side. The trans is right in front of the funnel shaped thing. I was wondering if these holes are supposed to be empty or if they need bolts. I thought maybe there was a trans. option that was not installed on this particular car, but doubt that. Then I thought it might be for putting a puller on the funnel thing to get it off?

Don't have a clue. Volvo says they might be M10 x 45 mm x 1.25 mm pitch? But they are not sure either. No torque seems to be listed either. The bolts have three different numbers: #1239883, #1239884, and #6814808.

Anyone know if the trans needs these bolts?

Thanks,
diyer
