electrical woes/driver side brake lights '88 245

Hello.

I recently noticed that my when i press on the brakes the passenger and third brake light are fuctional but the driver side brake light will not illuminate.Sometime it works and some times it doesn't. I changed the bulb(the one with two filaments) figuring just the brake light blew. The rear parking lights work fine. Also there is a ground wire (blk. wire) that is NOT connected to any part of the chassis back there. I thought that there is one ground wire per light assembly but there is two ground wires on the driver side. One is connected and the other one isn't. Maybe this why my drv.side brake light will work sometimes. WHat do you think? Thanks for the responses.
