No Voltage @ coil 700

No, the tach doesn't jump when cranking. But on pin 5 to the power stage is showing app 2 volt pulses when the motor turns over, and it's getting 12 volts when the ignition is turned on. I checked the coil for resistance across the posts and between pin 1 (red/white lead) and the high voltage output, and that checked out OK (.7 ohm across, 8k ohms in the middle)> I checked for voltage from the what should be the low voltage connecton to ground, and got 0. I really suspect the power stage, but i thought the odds were against getting 2 bad ones in a row (the one on the car crapped out a while ago, and one I got from a junkyard lasted 20 minutes.) I guess it's possible, but was looking for confirmation...
