Sufficient Evacuation Time? 200 1993

The longer you can evacuaute it the better results are likely to be, i.e. the colder the air will be due to less moisture content.
However in response to your earlier, enteratining story, we had a customer's 93 940T in 4 times once.... I'm sure it's just a coincidence.... leaky compressor, leaky hose, another O-ring, on and on. Tried everything to make them happy, ate the cost of about half of it under warranty. What can you do? It's a high-pressure system, and any failure means a total failure as far as cold air is concerned.
I'd keep returning to whatever shop has done the parts installation and majority of the work. They should honor their own work with a 90-day or at least 30-day warranty. IMHO, with A/C repairs, that warranty has to be limited to parts replacement and labor, unless something really negligent has occurred.
I'm sure your local Volvo dealer has an A/C disclaimer they stamp onto all work receipts for A/C work. It's impossible to warrant the refrigerant fill.
Good luck.
