Auction prices

So, a 'typical' auction price may be comparable to the wholesale price. And is that different than the trade-in value you see in the price lines of Kelly, Edmunds and NSDA? Obviously this has to do with my recently purchased V90. From every perspective I can think of, I think I got a good deal (given that I actually haven't laid hands on the car) @ $9800. I'm just curious what the seller may have actually paid for it. Thanks
