Engine Tuning Options 700 1990

Yes it is, absolutely. Its a federal offense in fact, to destroy or remove emissions control equipment. I don't really know WHY it's legal to sell catalytic converter "test" pipes.... it's "for off road use only". Uh huh.
Fortunately none of the $8/hr emissions test employees would know a non-EGR Volvo from one that came with it, if it bit 'em in the shorts. A good many "California" emissions cars are out in the other 49 states- it is legal to set them up as a "49-state" car as long as they never RETURN to California. Connecticut for many years had a similar emissions test program thoguh not the "new car"requirements that went with it. The state just SUED the company that ran it, kicked them out and is now scrambling to get SEVEN HUNDRED garages up to speed on new emissions tests. I'm SURE that will be FINE. They're telling us "probably March". Ok, well till then no worries, no $20 annual fees, I'm not complaining. They also did away with some of the toughest vehicle safety inspection laws in the country at about the same time. Now, there are all *kinds* of POS's on the road.
Hmm.... sorry I was rambling there....
