In-tank Pump Modification for K-Jet ? 200 1980

I've recently read about the necessary upgrade to a 740T intank pump on K-jet 240's. This would explain my fuel pump noise and stumblimg on acceleration when tank is half full. I did just replace the in-tank pump, though with the OEM A/C type, about 5K miles ago which did help drop the stumbling and noise from all the time, to only when tank is 1/2 full.

So my questions are what pump to get, and what are the modifications I'll need to do? Special tools? Clamps? Measuring? etc.

FCP sells about 6 different pumps for the 740T.

Thanks in Advance
Marty
