Can`t help with the speed sensor but the fuel sender unit is easy to test.
This type of sender has an internal float, to test it connect your ohmmeter as normal and make the float slide up and down by inverting the whole unit.
From memory it should read about 50/250 ohms full/empty.
Also you can , if careful, prise it apart to repair the float contacts and resistance wire coils.
