1992 740 but is it really a 940? 700

Ok I just picked up a nice, really cheap, not perfect though 92 740 Turbo Wagon. It will definitly make a nice addition to the family. Silver with Gray Leather. Minor cosmetic flaws and such and a little engine trouble, but nothing that can't be fixed. Has an electric cooling fan which I've never seen on a 740 too. Lined it up with my friend's 940 Wagon and they are identical inside and out, execpt for the seat stitching pattern. It even has the new headrests. So what was Volvo trying to do with the two wagons, just a different badge or is there more to it than that?

Also, the B-pillar has a SIPS sticker. Is there an airbag I should know about that's hidden somewhere or is it different for the older models?

Thanks,
Matt
