engine interchangeability 444-544 1965

Hi,
I am in the process of installing a 1987 GM S10 4 cylinder and 5 speed tranny in my 1961 PV544. I am using a 1984 Camero 4 cylinder bellhousing so I can rig up the stock Volvo clutch linkage. Drive shaft will be a combo of GM and volvo going to a 1990 Ford Ranger rear end. The rear end only needs one side cut down and replace the long axle with another short axle.Engine mounts were the only hassle as I wanted to be able to replace the engine with the stock B16 that came out of it.
TBI and computer will give easy starts and can get parts or repairs any where if it "lays down on me" while on a crusie or trip.
Parts are plentiful and very reasonable. Example: windshield rubber $28.00.
Great help from all the forum people is the greatest asset to me.

good luck.
Ray J.
