finding an overdrive unit for a m-46 700

What year 700? Depending upon year, you have three choices for overdrive units. The J type for early, PJ type for a few and the P type for later years. The J will not fit the P and the P will not fit the J with the PJ fitting the J.

Now that you are confused, any salvage yard may have a correct substitute,or you can by rebuilt or new from a dealer. Cost will vary from very economical at a self service yard to (IMOP) ripoff at the dealer.

The question I have to ask is why?
