engine oil/lube

Hi,
I have noticed that mobil-1, redline, castrol, amsoil, pennzoil are the brand that allways appeared in synth. lube related discussion. I wonder if anyone have an opinion on "European" brand synth.lube such as Agip HTS,Opaljet 24s,Motul 8100,Repsol ,Igol ceramic, Fina, Elf excellium, BP Visco5000, Total quartz 9000 etc.. Here in Indonesia we are familiar with these "euro"brand synth.lube since it is much easier to have these product than say, Amsoil, Redline, Quaker state, Cosco or other US Brand (penn.,mobil & castrol is quite popular and easy to get). One of auto expert in the web said that most of Euro-car manufacturer basically use ACEA rating for their engine design. So please give some opinion.
