engine oil/lube

I tend to agree with Ringlee...that on paper some of the Euro synthetics are better than our generic (non/semi) synthetics such as Castrol Syntec, for the exact same reasons our top synthetics are better than our generics.

I would also say that minimal spec oils in Europe are better than our (USA) minimal spec. oils. I would NOT trust USA minimum API spec petroleum oils much beyond 2500 miles and I would NEVER trust them in a turbo!

Europeans push the change interval limits - and they blow away the "Jippy Lube" 3k change interval myth. The Europeans do this for cost, environmental and performance reasons.....I'm not saying we should copy them, just learn....
