Seriously confused... 900

ok..i have disapearing oil...then i dont, then i do...

I had a leaking oil cooler...lost about 1/2 litre in 100 miles...replaced it

all is well...

then i start getting a gradual oil loss (from filler cap etc) so i fixed new breather box, cleaned flame trap

all is well

then I lost 1/2 ltr in 100 miles....(sound familier?)

cleaned out all the turbo hoses (fairly oily) including one from AMM to turbo and the main breather hose to the AMM-turbo hose (it was the breather that i suspect was the source of the oil! - it was very coked up...at least a 50% restriction down its length)

have done upwards of 100 miles...no oil use

couple of interesting facts.

I have a slight (and i do mean slight!) weep on the cam seal

I think the new oil cooler has suddenly started comming on...

I think the engine oil has suddenly got darker...

could i have had a airlock or blockage in the cooler pipes that has shifted so the cooler filled (hence) *loosing* 1/2 ltr of oil?

its driving me crazy!

ps its a 91 turbo with 130k on it, the turbo has no play i can detect in it...
I drained the intercooler after the first loss and got a couple of teaspoons out...

Aghhhhhhh...
