Speedo turns up to full speed when I turn the key on. How do I fix? 200 1990

I had a dead speedo so I found a used one that worked on the car it came from. I installed the whole casing (speedo, clocj, temp gauge, lights etc.) and when I start the car the speedo jumps right up to full speed. If I drive the car the odometer does not read any milage and the speedo stays on full.

What do I have to do to fix this and make the speedometer work properly.
