where is my hall or RPM's sensor (V6 760) 700 1985

i was goin down the highway and noticed about a 100-500 twitch in my Tach, i later took it to the kwiki mart and it's twitching wher ever i lay on the gas a bit and some times when i let up, if i lay on the gas it will slowly climb in rpm's (like normal) then all of the sudden the needle will shoot up an extra few hundred rpm's, then drop back down then shoot up (some times doing this in short intervals some times not), the engine it's self feels and sound normal (got a funnt tick) but normal is subjective.
and how the tach does the same on easing off the gas.

also it'a an 85/86 760 GLE V6 with auto trans. I can't find the hall or the rpm's sensor, can some body tell me Exactly where to find whatever one it has (the engine has been swaped)i also have some *extra* wires in other places that if some one can tell me where they go and what they do i'd be very thankfull (i have engine pic's if u want them)
