Bad bottom end - now what? 200 1985

Well my new Volvo is dead. I was pretty sure it was which I why I got it so cheap. Head is of and when I turn it over by hand right past TDC I can push on the #1 piston and move it just enough to make it click. None of the others exhibit this lovely tendency. I'm pretty sure the the rod/rod bearing is shot. Other than that the car is great. What should be my course of action now. Should I try to get this shortblock rebuilt? Should I try to find a source of a remanufactured engine? Find a used shortblock? Anybody have any idea on prices here. I've got $150 into the car so far. Another $150 for plugs wires and a bunch of gaskets and such that need to be replaced. The car needs a new muffler and a few odds and ends. That leave me about $500 for a new shortblock if I want to stay under $1000 which was sort of the whole point with this car. Anybody got a used shortblock sitting around in Texas.
