89 760 Brake Rotors Tolerance 700

Planning a brake job on the front. Talked to my dealer who informed me that the front rotors do not get turned because, from the factory, the rotors do not have enough metal to turn. Unlike the rear rotors, the only solution to scorded or warped front rotors is to have them replaced. Does this sound correct? Has anyone else been told the same?
