Sunroof stuck open and its raining, need help!!!! 700 1989

I really need help. I've got an 89' volvo 740 turbo, and lately, my automatic sunroof has been getting "lazier and lazier", but today it just quit. I tried to pop the vent, and it opened very slowly and closed even slower. After that, I tried to slide the roof back, which it did, albiet slowly, and when I tried to close it, it was stuck. I can hear the latch release, but the sunroof motor does not make any noise at all. I check all my fuses, and they are ok. Could it be pieces of headliner jamming the sunroof? My headliner is a bit shreded, but I'm not sure. Could the motor have given up? It felt strong when I first bought the car two months ago. I rarely used it due to the intensity of the GA sun, but its cooler now. The sunroof is stuck open, and winter is fast approaching. The temperature has already fallen about 20 degrees, and its supposed to rain this weekend. Why me?

Anyway, any solutions? Anyway I can just force it shut until I have time to work on the opening/closing mechanism?

HELP!!!!
