Speedometer sensor resistance value? 700

On the 240 1986 to 1991 the spec is 2950 ohms +/- 200. I believe the 700 is the same. It generates an AC voltage that increases in frequency as speed increases. Voltage also swings up slightly to about 4 or 5 volts. I have checked this signal at the plug while driving car or with a wheel jacked up and an analog meter connected. What are your symptoms?
