700 AMM Adjustment 700

Ok,
After a bunch of troubleshooting and repair (took care of the usual suspects, no improvement), i'm getting closer. The car (89 760 wagon, b230ft) runs great, but still a little too rich for NJ emissions standards. I think the adjustment knob on my AMM is bad. It was played with before I got the car. I've found a test procedure that says to check for resistance across pins 3 and 6, and there should be ~ 380 ohms, with the total range being between 0 and 1000 ohms, over 15 turns of adjustment. Mine is reading -0- ohms, regardless of any adjustment. Can anyone confirm this or try it out on a good working part? Because of how the AMM sits in the car, pin 6 is the furthest on the passenger's side of the car. Thanks a bunch!!!
