removal of rear seat 200 1989

Hi

Could anybody tell me, how I could remove the rear seat back in a 1989 240 (wagon)?
I noticed that it is impossible to fold it down with the release lever in the middle of the backrest so I would like to fix this stuff. You could only fold it down by pushing the levers on both sides of the seat lock mechanism. So I folded it down that way but I couldn`t see how the seat back is attached.

Any help would be appreciated -- thanks in advace
