Have You checked the Distributer cap and rotor? and Also when if you had the cap off looseness on the shaft. Have you checked the wire harness for breaks, this will require you to cut the plastic open aong the hole thing. Now with your AMM it doesnt matter on the front end, you have to check those pipes to the engine Volvos are crazy cars when it comes to the vaccumm system for feeding the air to the engine any lost air jacks the car up. Theres one other idea that just came to mind also it possible you could have a clogged fuel line or injector, pull the main line off at the engine connection and try to start it you should get a ton of gas. good luck
