ignition coil 140-160


I've been told that you can blow a coil by leaving the
ignition on but the motor off for prolonged periods of
time. Of course, I've also read that doing this can
burn out the points. I've done it and things do get
hot, so it probably isn't a good idea.

I've also run a 122 with a coil run directly from
the battery. I only drove it for about half an our,
so who knows how long it will run for.

Did you get a bosch blue coil from IPD? How much
are they?
