The only thing you can really do is to turn down the boost that the turbo forces through by adjusting the wastegate actuator rod. This may buy you some time to save up the money. Your best bet for a replacement turbo is rebuilding the one you have. If you remove it and do it yourself it'll cost you around $150. If you have someone else do it, it'll cost a lot more, but not more than $1000. Don't let ANYBODY tell you it'll cost more than that, especially $3,000.
