Oil In the Intercooler

Among other problems you're going to face, you will want to inspect the big air hoses to the intercooler very closely. The oil pools in the bottom of these hoses and rots the rubber out. Wash them in detergent or degreaser and watch closely for rot. If the cloth mesh shows anywhere, or if there's even a pinhole, buy new hoses. They aren;t cheap but they are essential.
The turbo itself can be exhanged for a rebuilt one. If your current car is 1989 or older, the 1990-up Mitsubishi turbo will be a nice upgrade.
