Oil In the Intercooler

a few months ago (around 8?) oil started coming up through the oil cap- I simply replaced the gasket and thought nothing of it. Today, I did a simple "does the cap rattle or not" test to check crankcase pressure and there is definately no vacuum holding the oil cap down when I do this. I subsequently removed and made sure there was airflow through the oil condenser box (the black plastic thing on the engine block connected to the PCV valve); there was airflow, but not a huge amount.

About 2 weeks ago I changed the PCV valve, a few hoses, and flushed the radiator, all pretty usual service. For awhile there was really no issue with the oil in the intercooler. Could the replacing of the PCV valve somehow have changed something which is allowing pressure to be exherted on the oil system in a way thats different from before? As I understand it, a clogged PCV system can force oil through the bearings in the turbo, then into the intercooler in unusual amounts. I have lost about 1/8th of a quart of oil since my last oil change about a month and a half ago, presumably it went into the intercooler. Also, the oil has started leaking out of the intercooler (thats how I noticed it), but upon removing the intercooler and trying to find a leak, there is none to be found.
