Replacing pre-pump 200 1989

I'm sure the pre pump has died. No whirring sounds in tank. Though the car does run perfect, except for a little engine shake when idling. I thought this was because of different engine mount brands, now I think it's fuel related or a dirty injector.

Anyone got any tips on replacing the prepump? Took a look under the cover, seems an odd. The 'plate' has to be turned?
