Rough Idle: Solutions not so obvious..

A leaky gasket does sound like a good tree to bark up - there are ways to detect:

1) Smoke generator - relatively expensive machine generates smoke, blown into intake with throttle WO....should be no smoke leakage..

2) Propane/butane gas (no sparks please) - if gas near gasket causes increase/smooth idle then you may have a leaker

3) Water/WD-40 sprayed on gasket would smooth idle/or change idle if you have a leak

I also suspect you could have a bad connector/pins at the AMM connector.
