Lock Up Torque Converter on 940T 900

Let me start by saying this is a hypothetical question, since my transmission works flawlessly and I can't justify screwing with something that isn't broken.

But I'm a little bothered by the fact that my that my '93 945T does NOT have a lock-up torque converter. (I know it's for "performance" reasons, but frankly I'd rather have the increased fuel economy than the faster turbo reaction)

But if,God forbid, at some point in the future my transmission develops a problem that required service. Is it possible to fit a lock-up T/C in place of the OEM T/C?
