OD Solenoid rebuilt!!! 200 1983

Got the 5 O-rings from the ODGuru, plus instructions...got over my fear of screwing it up and not being able to drive the car for months...ground down a 1" open end wrench to remove the OD from the tranny, bought 3 quarts of Type F fluid and then...last night...dove right in!
Wasn't as bad as I thought at all, directions were right on! O-rings were fried, were very hard to remove, the iron slug was frozen in place with crud. Electrical Contact cleaner (Hey, did you all know this stuff is just R12 freon plus alcohol??) worked great, slug now rattles like a baby's toy.
Now for the road test...more news later....
