cheap performance increase 200

Hey, I did just about everything "cheap"(or reasonable) to improve performance on my 88 240 DL. Electric fan conversion - $45, free flow exhaust (no muffler, just resonator and it sounds great), ipd cam which really helps A LOT - $180, cold air intake (homemade), and ac compressor and system removed. After all of this, my car can take a honda civic lx by maybe a car length in the 1/4 mile. I'm a little disapointed but my Volvo can beat several stock vehicles going up hills. This is definitly due to the ipd cam.
