Front Wheel Bearing Q 740

I have a simple question about the front wheel bearing nut. I have an '88 with two piece hub, and I can't seem to find the proper torque spec for the nut on it. I have found conflicting information about it over the years, I have a haynes that says low torque and a Chilton that says high torque. In the 700/900 FAQ I believe it says to do a minimal preload, but I thought this was only for the one-piece hubs... Can anyone clear this up? I would be infinitely grateful! Thanks!
