Bulb out light on, when there is nothing wrong 200 1985

Sometime ago my right rear taillight started to break up behind the circuit board, where the lower right hand brake light bulb goes. I tried to push it in temporarily and I got a spark when I tested it, then no lights. I found that a relay that controls the lights under the drivers side dash was blown. I replaced it and the taillight assembly with a brand new one.

Now here's my problem:

To this day when I press on the brakes the bulb out indicator comes on the dash. I recently tried replacing both brake/taillight bulbs with Volvo bulbs, with no change to my false indicator problem. What could this be? I mean I can live with it the way it is but I'd prefer to fix it as it is really annoying.
