I'll put a meter on it this weekend. I don't have a meter that will read that high, but I'll parallel a 2MŮ resistor and compute the resistance back from that. Should be around 1.41 MŮ, unless this is not a true resistive device. I knew engineering school would come in handy some day!

I have a 2 mile drive home that should be a fair test for pulling the connector. If it knocks too bad, I have plenty of places to pull over and reconnect, although I don't know if I could recognize knocking if I heard it. Would it sound like somebody tapping the engine repeatedly with a hammer?

I'll read the FAQ again, too.
