The noise in question occurs when I apply pressure to the gas pedal (i.e., push it down), and is most noticeable when I slowly apply pressure from a no pressure state.
The noise sound like a faint groan, almost like you would imagine a loaded spring with little lubricant that you apply slow pressure to sounding like. You could almost say it sounds like one of the front springs on your car when you push down hard on a corner bumper or when you jack the car off the ground and the wheelk pulls the spring and shock down.
However, I don't think its the suspension since it doesn't come from the sides and occurs when I apply pressure to the gas pedal. The noise appears to emanate from directly in front of the radio or center console, but it's so faint it's tough to really pin it down.
I figure it has something to do with either the pedal itself or the throttle body, but I really don't know enough to tell and have no idea where to start. Does anyone have any idea what this noise could be? Is it a symptom of a larger problem?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
rt
