WalMart Synthetic Oil 900

Anyone know anything about the WalMart branded synthetic oil? Who makes it? Anyone here use it? Any experience long term with it?

It is priced about 30% lower than "Mobil 1" and it is doubtlessly manufactured by a big established oil company for WallyWorld, so I imagine it's good stuff. But...is it worth saving $6 per case of six to stray from the Gold Standard Mobil product?

By the way, I am not a big believer in synthetic for most engines. Sure, it's better, but when you can get 400,000 miles out of a "red engine" Volvo, or 2 valve BMW engine on dinosaur oil one has to question the real benefits of $4/qt oil under those circumstances. Given the "problems" known to the 4 valve DOHC Volvo, however, I DO believe it's worth it for our cars, and use it in my '96 965.
