Bleeding air from rear pressure limiting valves. 200

I have carelessly allowed my master cylinder to run dry while bleeding brakes, and now I apparently have air in the pressure limiting valves (located on the underside of the car, above the rear axle). Since these are the highest point in the line and apparently a wide spot in the line, they defy being purged of air by conventional bleeding techniques (my technique involves a special home-made capped bottle with two hoses and my wife's vacuume cleaner).

The peddle is slightly spongy, and I am not getting full braking force to my rear wheels.

Is there any way to clear the air from the pressure limiting valves other than standing the car upright on its nose while bleeding the lines?
