760 turbo spewing oil, need help 700

I have a 1987 760 turbo wagon in realy good shape with only 83,000 miles on it but it leaks oil profusely and seems to be the front main seal. Has anyone repaired this and how involved is it? I am very mechanical and could rip it apart and put it back easily but I need to do it fast because it's my daily car.
