arrow in dash flashing 92-960 900

hi guys

taday when i was driving my car 92-960 the lights were flickring between winter mode and economy mode.and also at the same time the arrow in dashboard for winter mode was flashing. i drove the car for 70km. stopped for gas when restarted the car it was ok. when the arrow was flashing i did not felt any change in tranny behaviour. any suggestions from where i should start.
