Because you will need the driveshaft to match the transmission, I think you might have a hard time finding a complete M47 donor 240. I would recommend the M46. You should definitely plan to rebuild the OD before you install the transmission so you can avoid problems in the future. God knows it's easier out of the car. Finding a M46 240 shouldn't be much of a problem. You will also get to love downshifting on the highway without having to move your arm! Just the touch of a button.
