What motors can be installed easily in 86 760 turbo 700

I am looking for information on how hard it is to swap motors in my 86 760 turbo and what would be the most desireable motor to install. I know about the K block and the connecting rods but would like some further information. Also what motor would be the easiest and would work the best with the 86 controls and electronics. I have the piston slap noise and the rear main seal is leaking. The local shop says 450 to replace rear main seal. I was thinking if I was going to spend that much just to replace the seal to maybe replace the motor. I have 126,000 miles on the motor now and the rest of the car has very well taken care of. Thanks for you input and opinions.
Jeff
