F!@*&%^ carpets! 200 1986

Hey guys wassup.
As many of you know, I bought a replacement carpet for my '86 240 dl 4 door from Auto Custom Carpets. After putting them in yesterday and today, I have come to the following conclusion:

A.C.C. CARPETS ARE CRAP.

On their website, they advertise "pressure molded carpets". Ha, what a joke! First off, YOU have to cut out the holes for the shifter and center console. Is it so hard to have the holes pre-cut already? If your cuts are just a wee bit off, your carpet will not fit since it is a one piece carpet. My carpets look worse than before; there's wrinkles around the tranny hump, wrinkles around the shifter, and a bunch of extra carpet left over from where I had to trim it down to even fit the width of the car.
And the customer service! They're incognito! I claled them up today and find out why I was having such a hard time and you know what the lady on the phone told me? "Take it to an upholstery shop and have THEM try and fix my carpet. I paid $250 for the carpet, and hell no, I'm not gonna take it to the shop and pay even more! I might as well taken it to the shop to begin with and let them recarpet my car.

Overall, this experience has been regoddamndiculous. I can truly say to all the fellow brickboarders wanting to redo their carpets that they should steer clear from Auto Custom Carpets.

Thanks guys for hearing my rant,

Nick

P.S.- Maybe I should just sell the car . . . that's how frustrated I am!
