Resolution to backup lights ... 200 1989

Thanks for the good suggestion. Now that you mention it, I may just grab a fog light from the junkyard and mount it way back under the bumper so it's not really seen, but will still light up a lot behind the car. I'd run it to a switch on the dash and just pull the bulbs from my backup lights since I don't want to mess with that wiring.

I had been considering the Halogen back up lights that IPD sells, advertised at 50W, but the fog light should work just as well, and will double as a tailgater defense mechanism! A quick blip on the switch (certainly don't want to obstruct the vision of a motorist behind me!) should be enough to back anyone off my bumper, which is a rare occasion the way I drive.
